Nokia shows 5730 XpressMusic QWERTY smartphone Review

Nokia 5730 XpressMusic Colour Tipe

Nokia 5730 XpressMusic Red

Nokia 5730 XpressMusic Pink

Even a month after the XPRESSMUSIC 5630, Nokia announced back XPRESSMUSIC new mobile phone that is XPRESSMUSIC 5730. And I have to akui, the phone is very interesting. Why interesting? Because this is the first phone to have a range XPRESSMUSIC QWERTY keyboard. Even with gesernya mechanism, similar to the 5730 XM E75. More extreme or more, if Bro & Sis only have the funds from hand to mouth and do not need to touch the screen, this is the alternative to mobile phone N97.

In terms of features, such as the name suggests, the music became the main focus of the Music shortcut that can be searched to find the music, both in the phone and in the Nokia Music Store. 3.5 mm audio jack is included, so too with the integrated stereo speakers. To view the main screen, there is a renewal. 5730 XM has Homescreen for XPRESSMUSIC, which provides access to and information about music, people, games, email, and calendar. According to Nokia, this is the latest version of the Contacts bar have XM in 5800, but with additional direct access to music, N-Gage, and other applications, such as Facebook, Photos, Contacts Ovi, Maps, and so forth. So may be spelled out, so in addition to talented musicians, 5730 XM also arrogant and not helpful, proven ability of socializing via Facebook and Ovi, gesernya and enhanced keyboard that is very similar to the E75. Oh yes, the price is estimated around 280 EURO or about Rp 4.2 million (with the exchange rate Rp 15,000)
5730 XPRESSMUSIC QWERTY keyboard

Interestingly, it seems at this time all the Symbian S60 based mobile phone are provided the ability to play N-Gage game, and this can also be found in the 5730 XM. It seems that now Nokia has started "awakened" and the phone-ponselnya many who now has QWERTY keyboard and touch screen, although there are still visible impression careful selection in a variety of products launched so far.

Nokia prepping updated 5800 XpressMusic with capacitive screen?

It's certainly not unheard of for Nokia to take existing models in its lineup, tweak 'em with slightly improved hardware and software, and re-release them -- see the N85 / N86, N93 / N93i, N95 / N96, and so on -- so we can totally buy that the company's hard at work at updating its 5800 for a future revision.

DigiTimes (which admittedly doesn't have a pristine record for nailing these sorts of rumors) cites "sources" with Taiwanese component suppliers as saying that Nokia wants to replace the 5800's resistive touchscreen with a capacitive one -- the S60-based Samsung i8910 does that, by the by -- in an effort to better compete with its rivals. That would certainly make the device more usable and responsive, but in all likelihood, this isn't a simple matter of swapping out a component (how would you use that totally awesome plectrum, after all?) so we'd expect this to be more of an indication that Espoo's looking to move to capacitive going forward, particularly as it transitions over to the Symbian Foundation's builds.

Keepin' it real fake, part CXCIV: Nokia N83 is not a Nokia N83

While the shortly flaunted N83 never did amount to anything back in the day, we can safely say the device you see above is definitely not what the suits in Espoo had in mind. The touchscreen-based smartphone looks about as thick as an N95, though we can't recall ever seeing a flavor of Symbian look anything like this. If you care to know, the phone sports a 400 x 240 resolution panel, 0.3 megapixel camera (ha!), dual SIM card slots, Bluetooth, FM radio module, about two to three hours of talk time and a 3.5 millimeter headphone jack. But hey, it's only a buck 'o five off-contract, or exactly the price of freedom according to certain puppets.

[Thanks, facelessloser]

BBC streaming live to Nokia 5800s

Our friends at Electricpig have spotted some interesting news - namely that the Nokia (NYSE: NOK) 5800 can now stream live TV shows from the BBC

The BBC has a beta of it’s live streaming service, which you can access by aiming the 5800’s browser at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/mobile/live/tv

The suggestion of course would be that you utilise the WiFi chip in your handset to get to the site, if you are going to be doing data-intensive video streaming - your choice of course, but without unlimited data in your tariff then you’ll get a big bill over 3G!

Certainly a cool feature, and the BBC is great for content, of course - we’ll hope this gets rolled out to other Nokias going forward!

Video Conference with the iPhone

Basically, the meeting with a video conference can be done anytime, anywhere. To be easy, medium is also should be more concise. iPhone, for example.

Well, try these ideas written down in the latest version of Cisco Unified Communication System 7.0 that they recently released in Shangrila Hotel, Jakarta, on Thursday (8/1/2009).

Solutions applications can video conference between the client who has registered to use the network teleponi VoIP, video, and data, which can also be accessed via the Internet and 3G connection Wifi. Peranti used client, not only Basically iPhone, but also other smart phones.

"However at this time for the new iPhone can. In the future, all the smart phone can also be accessed for the video conference," said Prio Utomo as Director of Engineering Technology Cisco Systems, failed when the product demo using a Nokia mobile phone E-type Series.

In the demo opportunity, Harry Aryadi, Cisco System Engineering, consider how the company can convince still get the benefit and convenience of the implementation of the video conference applications.

"It is very easy and simple, such as making regular phone calls," he said. "Companies also do not need to help engineers and enhancements to make a video conference," Harry continue.

Although easy and simple, but the cost incurred to use this application clearly not cheap. Cisco alone determine the price of U.S. $ 180,000 for the full version peranti application. But prices can still go down, depending on the needs.

Cisco itself remains optimistic newest product will be used a lot of companies who want a high mobility, considering the previous version of the application also has been used by some private banks and other financial companies.

Google Chrome Most Hold Hacker Attacks

Chrome browser to be the most resistant of hacker attacks this year. At least that is the result Pwn2Own, a competition that tests network security experts to be able to penetrate the security system on 16-20 March in the CanSecWest Security Conference in Vancouver, Canada.

In the competition this year, Charlie Miller who was also winner of the race months ago successfully break the security system is only in Safari within 10 seconds only. Recognized by the security analyst at Independent Security Evaluators, the fact that he has found in the rift system since Safari years ago.

Albeit through a fairly difficult process, the attacker can only attack the security wait time with the computer users to click a link to the url evil. In the competition that also, IE8 and Safari security system can be penetrated. Firefox and IE8 also penetrating within 12 hours.

While for Chrome, the participants are actually able to find a bug in the system security. However, the bug can not be exploited further because the browser has a feature Sandbox. Plus there is also cooperation with the operating system to provide the best protection.

Chrome is quite surprising victory because the new browser was launched in the last half year ago. Google Chrome portfolio also increased interest after there were so great as most software downloaded in 24 hours and immediately grab the market share of 1 percent.

Pwn2Own this year, the competition is divided into two-class technology, the web browser and mobile phone. Competition is sponsored by TippingPoint, a network security company. Web browser on the competition this year is the Internet Explorer 8, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. While for the mobile phone that is dipertandingkan Blackberry, Android, iPhone, Nokia / Symbian, and Windows Mobile.

Rewards offered arouse enough, that is 5000 U.S. dollars per bug in the web browser, and 10,000 U.S. dollars per bug on the mobile phone. Participants can also bring home a laptop that is used to penetrate the security system for free, that is, the Sony Vaio or Macbook as long as the participant became the first person who can show you the bug.

Participants were also required to sign the agreement, stating that they can not distribute a bug that they find. With this race, it is expected that the web developer is able to know what bugs me is in my web browser and they immediately add that there is rift.

Three-way Business Strategy

What is that Microsoft continues to make successful? Then why Nokia is able to become a cell phone product that most beloved of the consumer? And what makes the BMW for decades continues to be the icon on the prosperity of the people? Learn from the success story companies are global leaders in serving customers, it seems there are a number of wisdom that can be quoted. Main lessons that can be taken is this: that the process must serve customers that begins with the choice of the correct strategy. In other words, the process of serving the needs of customers are not suddenly appear out of the sky, but it must diselaraskan selection strategy with the company (corporate strategy), which has been disconnected.

In the context of this moment there are three strategies that acapkali applied by companies world-class. Jurus the first choice is a strategy that focused on product leadership (the benefits of the product). Companies in this category is always working to create products with premium quality, and always one step ahead of competitors' products. They do not shrink from removing the funds for the R & D for the creation of its products ciamik. Intel is famous for its Pentium series may be the most perfect example for this category. Or also companies such as Louis Vuitton adibusana popularize the product with its bags. And of course, we must appoint a BMW and Ferarri, two automotive manufacturers that create products legendary enamor nan.

Jurus strategy is the second choice oriented operational excellence (operational excellence). The companies in this category, which is the main business processes to build super-efficient. Hopes, with the efficiency of this process, they suppressed the production costs, and ultimately will be able to sell their products more price competitive. Dell, the computer company's home is Texas, is a sample that is feasible in this category. With the business model and a very efficient, they can create products with the price of desktop komptetitif more than its competitors, such as IBM and HP.

Jurus the last option is a strategy based on customer Intimacy (intimacy with the customer). The companies in this category, which is the main building intimate relationships with its customers, with the hope that relations will be created imperishable. Many companies in the field of hospitality and also the flight melakoni strategy to build loyalty for the pelangggannya. Harley Davidson is also very well have a remarkable relationship with the intimate users, so they can build a very intense fanaticism with millions across the penggemarnya Jagat.

Of course, many companies that also combine a variety of the moment, and not just focus on one moment. Honda, for example, than have known products are superior, also known as the business has a very efficient. Similarly, Singapore Airline. In addition to the airline that has a product ciamik, they also have expertise in building intimate relationships with its customers.

Thus, the three business strategy that moment be feasible. Aligning the moment when dipentaskan with a high precision guaranteed PLAYERS will bring the benefits of the ship.

While its 3in, 800x480 pixel screen is on the small side when compared to the iPhone and 4.1in Toshiba TG01, it's certainly LG's best touch interface to date. There's little sign of the lag that afflicted predecessors like the Prada and Viewty and the 'S-Class 3D interface', while not exactly brain-meltingly revolutionary, does provide a neat transition between the contacts, media and homescreens.

As you can see below, that icon-based homescreen looks uncannily like the iPhone's – only a bit more cluttered and fiddly to use. And while the screen allows you to pinch and zoom like its multi-touch foe, the web browsing experience still feels a little clunky and sluggish by comparison.

Still, the Arena's certainly not short on features, with 8GB of flash memory (plus a microSD slot), a 5MP camera (with autofocus, but only LED flash), stereo Bluetooth, an FM radio, A-GPS (for geotagging photos) and that small but important extra, a 3.5mm headphone jack.

We'll be bringing you a full review and video soon – but why not check out our Top 10 mobile phones while you wait. Or start a chorus of 'we want Android, we want Android...'
